What are GLP-1 medications?

GLP-1’s are a prescription medication for long-term weight management. GLP-1s, or glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, help regulate blood sugar by enhancing insulin secretion and slowing down gastric emptying. This helps control blood sugar levels and can also reduce appetite, aiding in weight management. Common GLP’s are Wegovy®  and Ozempic® (semaglutide) and Mounjaro® (tirzepatide). GLP-1 medications are taken through weekly self-injections. The injections are easy to learn via telehealth and simple to self-administer, even for the most needle-hesitant client. 

Our GLP-1 Medical Weight Loss Program utilizes the prescribed medication in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity to help you lose unwanted weight. After evaluating current diet and exercise patterns we will work together to discuss where lifestyle changes can be made.

Our GLP-1 medications are compounded and will be prescribed if clinically appropriate. The prescribed medication will be shipped to your home from a US based 503A designated compounding pharmacy. 

Cost of Medication

Our compounded semaglutide program is $525 ($175/Month), for the first 3 months.

Our compounded tirzepatide program is $675 ($337/Month), for the first 2 months. 

Brand name medications can also be prescribed. However, those prescriptions would be provided to the client at the end of the visit to fill at their preferred pharmacy at retail price of the medication. The consult fee and subsequent visits for refill prescriptions are $75 per visit. 

**At the start of the program, the balance must be paid in full. There are no additional program fees. The program includes cost of the medication and supplies, injection training, and ongoing coaching, telehealth visits & support from the nurse practitioner.

Why chose telehealth over an in-person clinic visit?

Telehealth for weight loss is a way for clients to receive remote support, guidance, and coaching to help them lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle from the comfort of their own home or just about anywhere where a smart phone is available. The medications can be sent directly to the client’s home!

At 365 Medical Weight Loss and Wellness, we will work to create a weight loss program catered to your needs. We prescribe brand, generic and compounded medications which include: 

• Wegovy®  and Ozempic® (semaglutide),
• Mounjaro® (tirzepatide), 
• naltrexone HCl and bupropion (Contrave®), 
• phentermine-topiramate (Qsymia®), 
• among other medications proven to help achieve weight loss.

Are compounded medications safe?

Your medication will be shipped from a 503A designated compounding pharmacy. These pharmacies manufacture medications in a facility that meets 503A safety standards for a compounding pharmacy.

How fast is does weight loss occur?

With proper diet and exercise, weight loss begins within the first week for most clients. Our clients have seen 1-3 lbs of weight loss per week, but results vary from person-to-person.

Will I be on the medication forever?

Each client is different and treatment times can vary. Once a client hits their ideal weight, together we can go over options. Some clients decide to wean off the medication and should continue their lifestyle changes to maintain the weight loss.  Once off treatment, if a client begins to gain weight back, they can restart the medication at any time. Some clients stay on a maintenance dose. 

How quickly can I start on the medication?

After your initial visit, clients can expect to receive their medication delivered to their front door within a week and can begin injections right away.
