Dr. Guardi
Biography
Jodie Guardi, DNP, APRN-FPA, FNP-BC
“The most important aspect of my job is listening to my patients to understand their needs clearly. I rarely see a cookie-cutter approach to being successful in anything in life. Therefore, I believe working together to create a customized plan for each patient is integral to their wellness goals’ success.”
Dr. Guardi is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated with honors from Resurrection University in 2013. Since then, she has cared for patients in primary and walk-in care settings. Over time, she observed that patients often vocalized a desire to lose weight, look better, and feel better physically and mentally. However, they needed to figure out how to improve this independently. Dr. Guardi recognized this as an opportunity to help patients, so she sought a more robust educational foundation on enhancing the hormones in the body to impact the quality of life positively.
Dr. Guardi completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice from DePaul University in 2019. Her research involved identifying the lack of diagnosis and management of obesity and implications for change in healthcare. This research is published in a peer-reviewed journal. In addition to her practice, Dr. Guardi performed the role of an educator as adjunct faculty at DePaul University’s Nursing Program and a mentor to new nurse practitioners throughout her career. She is currently a member of the Obesity Medicine Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Guardi enjoys creating personalized treatment plans with her clients to provide support for each patient. To schedule a telehealth appointment with Dr. Guardi, contact us now.
